FREE 94 jeep cherokee....

ok well figured i'd put this up here before i get the scrap man to come and collect it, i bought it last year to tow the beetle about with but i soon found it was hiding a lot of rust undernieth and when the mot came up i opted to lay it up and get a passat i'd seen. so its been sat a year waiting for me to get round to welding it but i've just not had the time and eventually i pilfered it for the seats and some injection bits i needed,

theres a bomb proof 4.0 straight 6 in there with only 70k on the clock. it ran sweet as a nut and pulled like a train but obviously its in need of some parts again now (i've had the injectors, the throttle body and alternator, allong with the wiring!) the auto box works well, theres an lsd equipped rear axle. i've had the seats but the doorcards and dash etc etc are all in place and in good condition. the rust is confined to the undernieth and tbh its sod all compaired to what we normaly weld up but i just didnt have the time to weld it and the money to spend on it.

thought it might be good for someone for spares, or for bits for a conversion. or maybe just to part out and make a few quid. i'd be doing that myself but its blocking up my drive enough as it is so its gotta go.

and the best part its FREE!!!!

obviously you cant just drive it away so it'll have to be trailered.

i need it gone by next weekend tho cause the scrap man will be getting a call then and i'll pocket a few quid myself! just thought id throw it out there for you lot first.

I'd have the rear axle off ya but got nowhere to do it or time :(

Would you be able to measure the axle up for me? Mounting face to mounting face? Depending on the ratio and width it could be ideal!!

Re: FREE 94 jeep cherokee....

hey up coop. axle works out somewhere around 59", or 1.5m its running 26" tyres and the motors pretty low reving so it cruised 70 - 80mph at pretty low revs.

if your really intrested in it fella and need the time to sort something out i'll keep it for you for a few weeks. i just cant keep it for months thats all. its blocking the garrage and pretty soon the bugs gonna be running so i'll need the drive space to move it about etc!

anyway let me know eitherway!

Re: FREE 94 jeep cherokee....

cheers man, sounds about the right ratio, its the right pcd and about the right width but im afraid im gonna have to pass, ive got nowhere to do it! ive got 2 cars on the road and the drive has to be kept useable i.e i cant block it for any sort of time other than short! like a few hours short!

sorry man. But if the axel and prob happen to fall off while its stood there tho, you know where i am ;-)

(actually, will one of those "we'll buy your car for scrap" guys be able to take a car with its arse end on the ground?)

Re: FREE 94 jeep cherokee....

I'd like to say yes fella but I've the same problem, it's gotta stay rolling at least so i can get it off the drive come scrap time or move it should i need to turn the bug around! if it had been the motor or something we can remove without making it immobile I'd have said pop down and we'll pull it out! It'll be here till next weekend at least so if you find you can sort something in the mean time just let me know ;)
