You could have a go yourself if you have the confidence and basic mechanical skills. I lowered my Bay years ago using the 'How to' sections in Volksworld, but you do need a good ampage welder for the adjusters. Lowering the rear cost nothing.
If you are willing to get it to Scarborough, Fairbank & Craven http://www.fairbankandcraven.co.uk/welcome.shtml are a reputable VW garage who can lower your van. Also, they do their own narrow beam kits. Good bunch of guys too.
